Byggmakker is acquiring the chain member Seljord Elektriske from the Tufte family. The building materials company had a turnover of approximately 125 million kroner in 2021 and holds a strong position in the region. The company was established in 1943 by Einar Tuftes grandfather. It started as a traditional country store selling wood stoves, electrical items, and kitchen equipment. Today, the company is a well-managed building supply store with a strong position both towards professionals and consumers.

“Now we are pleased that the business and the employees are being taken care of by a long-term strong player. The market is changing, and for us, this is a good time to think anew,” – Einar Tufte, CEO
